Squarepixel series – subsequent non-standard LCDs by Litemax

Recently you get to know two series of LCDs by Litemax – Spanpixel and Durapixel as we described their crucial parameters and functionalities as well as potential areas of application in one of Uni’s Guide articles. However, on the Litemax’s offer, there are also non-standard LCDs as, e.g., circular LCD. In this article, we present other products that might be called “non-standard” – the Squarepixel series.

Litemax offers a few sizes of square-shaped LCDs – 22.0” (2203-Y models), 26.5” (2653-Y models), 27.3” (2735-A models), 33.2” (3325-Y models), 35.2” (3525-A models), and 42.1” (4215-I models). They are available in three variants – SSF (a set without AD Board), SSH (a set with AD Board), and SSD (in a full housing). Moreover, there is also remarkable 27.3-inch dual-sided SCD2735-A.

The crucial parameters of Squarepixel series

The increased brightness (between 500 and 1000 cd/m²) and full viewing direction (89°/89°/89°/89°) guarantee the optimal readability of the content presented on the LCDs of Squarepixel series. However, this series’ relevant drawback is the narrow operating temperature range (0-50°C). You can use them both in indoor and outdoor applications but not in each climate zone.    

There is one especially worth noticing parameter of Litemax’s products, which is the prolonged LED lifetime. In the case of 2203-Y, 2653-Y, 3325-Y, 3525-A, and 4215-I models, it is at least 100 000 hours (the standard value of LED lifetime for LCDs is about 30,000 to 70,000 hours). The extended LED lifetime is crucial for devices intended to operate in continuous mode (24/7).

The potential areas of Squarepixel series application

You can apply the LCDs of Squarepixel series in a wide range of applications. For example, they can be used as information carriers in digital signage, e.g., in transportation.

Their formats bring the elements of shops, restaurants, or cafes windows to mind, which let us assume that the square-shaped LCDs might replace the traditional signboards. (In this case, it can be, e.g., double-sided SCD2735-A with a grip that should significantly simplify the device installation.) Well, maybe the square-shaped LCDs may also be applied in food trucks? What is more, the implementation of electronic information carriers conduces to the automation of the content management processes – you can change images or animations presented on square-shaped LCDs at any time. They can be used to showcase not only the brand’s logos but also daily updated promotions.

You can also install the LCDs of Squarepixel series in various kiosks and totems, e.g., vending machines.
