Over 10 years ago, AMT introduced low-reflective (LR) touch solutions that were response to the market`s needs at that time. Thanks to extensive experience, as well as more and more advanced technologies, AMT adapts the offer of capacitive touch panels to the growing market requirements and the expectations of end-user applications, introducing the family of panels with reduced light reflectance.
For outdoor applications utilizing the LCD TFT displays the readability of the shown information is crucial – especially in the direct sunlight.
Nowadays during the construction process of PCAP touch panel manufacturers use one of the standard structured i.e. Glass-Film, Glass-Glass etc. However none of these solutions can reduce the value of the reflectivity coefficient to 1.5%.
AMT LR PCAP touch panels use a double-layer glass structure. The cover lens is a glass panel combined with an anti-reflective coating (AR). It can also be a décor glass. The sensor has a DITO (Double-sided Indium Tin Oxide) structure.

The polarizer layer helps to achieve the reflectivity of 1.5% (+/- 0.5%). The described panels have a light transmission coefficient of 85% (+/- 3%) and are available in dimensions from 3,5 to 21,5 inches. This solution significantly reduces the effect of light reflection and makes the readability of LCD displays much better.
The design of the AMT LR PCAP touch panels differs from the standard PCAP design, but remains compatible with the PenMount PCAP controllers.
